Roake is a fanatic and prefers isolation to company. He seems to be the only person who has been truly capable of miracles.[1]
Background[]
Augustus Roake was a follower of the Trawler-man, who came to the faith from outside, and chose to live separately from the Parish of Tide and Flesh. He lived near the town of Marcel's Crossing at 113 Longray Mansions, the members of which he had an antagonistic relationship with.[2]
After the townspeople chased him out, he underwent a physical transformation, becoming crablike, and also had the Wither Mark revealed to him by the Trawler-man.[3] He is responsible for the Fishing Boat[4], the Sentinel[3], and the destruction of Bellwethers by the Wither Mark.[1]
